03 December 2014 - Mango has announced that they will be giving away R 1 million in vouchers to travellers who have had to pay luggage allowance charges on other airlines. Travellers will receive Mango travel vouchers to the same value that they had to pay for their checked luggage on other airlines, with a limit of R200. The offer stands for any traveller who has to pay for checked luggage on other airlines between the 8th of December 2014 and the 31st of January 2015 as per the terms and conditions of their baggage rules. The offer is valid for travellers who fly on all routes where rival low cost airlines compete with Mango. Mango has also upped its baggage allowance on the Cape Town - Port Elizabeth route from 20kg to 30kg for checked luggage for the same period. Mango: Zanzibar Special Announcement on Expresso

30 January 2014. The very best flight specials accrue to closed groups. Like this Momentum Multiply deal - the fares on every single route are cheaper than the last flight special which Mango Airlines ran. Momentum Multiply is Momentum Health's rewards program (ie similar to Discovery Health's Vitality program). One of the best of the offers was from OR Tambo to Cape Town from R699, whereas in the same week's Happy Day Sale it was R825 on the same route.

17 January 2014 - If Mango in March suits your appetite, here's a list of their flight prices. A few points of interest were that the JHB to PE route was generally more expensive than the longer Joburg to Cape Town flights, and CPT to Durban more expensive than the similar length JHB to CPT route. The price war between Kulula and Mango on the ORT to George route seems to have simmered down. As previously pointed out, Lanseria to CPT flights continue to be cheaper on the whole than OR Tambo to CPT flights.
