In this weeks' survey, the cheapest flight on the Cape Town to Durban route was offered by Mango with their Friday afternoon flight priced at R1 063 when we checked (prices will change). Shosholoza Meyl's train services were the cheapest option for travel when we checked. With the current bus driver strikes taking place in South Africa, opting for train travel would be a safer option than bus travel from Cape Town to Durban at this stage. For car rental in Durban, be sure to check Car Trawler who offered the most affordable rates for the weekend's rental.

Car Trawler cheapest at King Shaka Airport
This week we compared the rates of car hire in Durban from 21h00 on Friday the 24th of May 2013 until 13h00 on Sunday the 26th of May 2013. Car Trawler displayed the cheapest rates for the weekend's rental with a Kia Picanto or similar at R340 (R170 per day). (Prices can change).
