"Dear Travel Partner. We regret to advise that as result of the recent heavy rainfall in the Western Cape there were subsequent washaways of the line between Matjiesfontein and Worcester. We have been informed by Transnet (local railway authorities) that there is no estimated time of repair of the line, and we consequently need to disembark guests at Matjiesfontein (280kms from the city centre) on Monday (15 June). After lunch we will depart at 13h30 for the transfer by luxury coach to Cape Town Station. The journey will take approximately four and a half hours, including a 30-minute comfort stop at Worcester with an estimated arrival time of 18h00.
