From the 3rd October 2012 SAA is adding a 7th weekly flight from Johannesburg to Mumbai India, making it daily flights. From the 3rd September SAA increases its frequency to 10 flights a week between Johannesburg & Nairobi.

The Bottom Line: Rob Bishton has resigned as chief pilot of easyJet to join Fastjet (which is being run inter alia by the founder of easyJet, Stelios Haji-Ioannou). Fastjet is an African Low Cost Carrier planning to launch in October 2012 (not initially in South Africa).
