Intercape has continuous bus ticket specials for youth/loyalty/families/students/seniors/SAP/SANDF; as well as sometimes running deals that make travelling in a coach just that little bit sweeter. If you're not aware of and not taking advantage of these discounts you're losing out. Discounts & Special Rates

15% Youth Discount: Applicable on Flexi and Full Flexi classes ONLY. Children aged between 18 months up to 11 years and travelling with a fare paying adult qualify for a 15% discount. Infants below the age of 18 months, provided they are not occupying a seat, travel free.

50% Family Discount: Valid ONLY on Full Flexi class bookings. First three children travelling with two fare paying adults qualify for a 50% discount on the normal fare.

Student discount: If you are a student, you can get a 5% discount. You must have a student ID which shows that you are registered at a tertiary educational institution; and produce it at the point of purchase.

Up to 5 percent return & connecting discounts.

Up to 15 percent senior discounts if you are 60 year old or older. You'll need to produce your identification document at the point of purchase, proving your age.

Frequent Traveller Club: Get a 10% discount voucher for every 10 tickets travelled with Intercape (ie you receive a discount equal to 10 percent of the total amounts you bought the 10 tickets for). Voucher is valid for 3 months from the date of issue. The first step is to join Intercape's Loyalty Program; phone 021-380-4400 to get your loyalty club number, then click here to register - you'll need to fill in a form that looks like this:

 

SA Policy & SA National Defense Force

Up to 10 percent discount. You'll need to produce official identification documents at the point of purchase of Intercape bus tickets, proving that you are a member of the SAP or SANDF.

Sanlam Reality Discounts

If you're a member of Sanlam Reality or have Sanlam Wealth Bonus Benefits, you may be eligible for a reduced price on two Intercape bus tickets a year. Book by phoning 0860 732 548/9 or book online by clicking here or log in on the Sanlam Reality website and follow the instructions to book online or WhatsApp Intercape Bus on 021 380 4400:

• Sanlam Reality members who have "Wealth Bonus Lifestyle benefits" may get reduced fares on the 1st 2 bus tickets they book in a calendar year, the fare would be reduced by 50% (maximum R375). Call Sanlam Reality Club on 0860 00 7325 for a call centre agent to assist you with your booking
• Sanlam members who have "Wealth Bonus Lifestyle benefits" may get reduced fares on the 1st 2 bus tickets they book in a calendar year, the fare would be reduced by 20% (maximum R150). Momentum Multiply discounts

Up to 45 percent in savings by booking Intercape bus tickets via the Multiply app:

• 2015-07-08: Intercape's latest route is between Cape Town and Queenstown. They launched it at the end of last month with one-way tickets starting from R440*. The route has several major stops in Paarl, Worcester, Laingsburg, Beaufort West, Aberdeen, Graaf-Reinet, Cradock and Tarkastad. They will operate the route on Fridays and Saturdays.
