Discounts & Special Rates
Intercape offers continuous bus ticket discounts for the youth, groups, students, seniors, and the SA National Defence Force (SANDF). Note: Discounts are generally applicable to flexi and full flexi class tickets, not saver tickets.
Group & Child Discounts
Group discounts:
- Groups of 5 to 9 Passengers get a 5% discount
- Groups of 10 or more passengers get a 7% discount
Child discounts:
- Infants below the age of 24 months, provided they are not occupying a seat, travel free.
- Children aged between 24 months up to 11 years travelling with a fare-paying adult qualify for a 15% discount (applicable on Flexi and Full Flexi classes). The child's birth certificate must be present.
- Scholars (Grades 1 to 12): 5% off (Only available at Intercape offices).
Student, Pensioner & SANDF Discounts
Student discount: 5% discount. You must have a student ID showing you are registered at a tertiary educational institution.
Pensioner discount: Up to 15% discount if you are 60 years old or older. Valid ID required.
SA National Defence Force: Up to 10% discount for active SANDF, Correctional Services, and SAPS members with official ID.
Intercape Loyalty Programme (New)
Track, earn and redeem awards through Intercape's new loyalty programme (started Sep 2025):
- Earn 5% back on each Rand spent.
- 1 Point equals 1 Rand.
- Points become available 24 hours after spending, valid for 12 months.

FNB eBucks Deals

Sanlam Reality & Momentum Multiply
Sanlam Reality: Members with "Wealth Bonus Lifestyle benefits" may get reduced fares on their first 2 bus tickets of the calendar year (up to 50% or R375 off). Book online via the Sanlam portal.
Momentum Multiply: Save between 5% and 45% based on your Multiply status tier when booking via the app.
Vodapay, 1Voucher & Pick n Pay
Vodapay: App users get 14% extra value when buying a voucher via the app. You can also use Vodapay Cash Advance to travel now and pay later.
1Voucher: Buy 1 For You Vouchers at FLASH, PEP, Shoprite/Checkers, or Ackermans to pay for your tickets.
Pick n Pay: Up to two PnP Smartshopper Intercape vouchers can be used per ticket in 90 days. Get a R100 voucher by switching R50 worth of points.
