Shosholoza Meyl route re-opens from DUR to CPT |

We are happy to annouce that the Shosholoza Meyl's direct route between Cape Town and Durban will be resuming from the 4th of April 2012, after months of suspension. The fare from Durban to Cape Town will be R370pp in sitter class and R740pp in sleeper class. The train on this route will only operate once a week, leaving Durban on Wednesdays and leaving Cape Town on Mondays. The release of the new prices for this route have placed Shosholoza Meyl first for the cheapest overland fare.
The airfares have decreased on this route since the last survey which showed the fares for the Argus Cycle Tour in Cape Town. Mango is having a good run, with even Mango Flex and Mango Plus cheaper than the other airlines This might have something to do with their current Bucket List challenge.
