Kulula Lanseria cheapest |
03 June 2011 flights |
While we looked at Mango Lanseria to Cape Town flights for this week's survey, they weren't flying between our sample times of 18h19 and 20h36 on the 3rd of June 2011. Ironically though, the cheapest flights in the survey are the ones leaving from Lanseria - with Kulula. When we checked the prices, Kulula and Mango's Lanseria to Cape Town flights were the cheapest (although we couldn't include Mango results for the reason mentioned above). Velvet Sky is only doing one JHB to CPT flight that day, and also not in the time band. Airfare, train and coach prices haven't changed markedly since last we surveyed this route. Please note that the prices below will change (perhaps even by the time you read this).

It seems like Capetonians are geering up for a very chilly winter - the weekend of the 3rd of June is set to be host to three winter festivals in and around the mother city (and these are just the ones we were notified of)!
The Robertson annual Wacky Wine Weekend is taking place in the Robertson Wine Valley, where 50 prestigious wineries will be showcasing their finest wines. It runs from Thursday to Sunday, and R80 gets you a weekend pass, a stylish tasting glass, a goodie bag and a guaranteed good time!
On Saturday the 4th, you can take a drive out to the historic town of Stellenbosch for the Stellenbosch Winterfest which is taking place in the heart of the town. Plenty of kids' entertainment will be on offer while parents can head over to the beer tent and coffee areas. A perfect day outing for families.
On Sunday the Soup, Sip & Bread Winter Feast is happening in Durbanville. This event debuted last year and was sold out, so there's been much hype around this year's feast. If you like fine dining, this is an event you absolutely cannot miss out on.
The theme this weekend definitely sounds of wine, good food, and cold weather!
