The prices for flights have shot up on the Cape Town to Durban route since our last survey. This could be that both the Western Cape and the Kwazulu-Natal have school holidays up until the 9th April. We see below that all the flights are above R1 000. The difference between last survey's cheapest flight (Mango) and this survey's cheapest flight is a jaw dropping R600. Mango Airline alone has a flight increase of R1 335 on this route. Book a flight as soon as possible; as the seats for the flights decrease, the prices increase.
Below we sampled prices of one-way flights, coach trips and train trips from Cape Town to Durban, leaving Cape Town between 13h44 and 20h31 on Friday the 30th of March 2012.
