If you want to travel cheap from CPT to JHB then make your reservation with Velvet Sky. Not only are they cheaper than the other airlines but, amazingly enough, flying with Velvet Sky is even cheaper than travelling on the Greyhound bus. Stay put in Joburg until the 27th January to join the International Mozart Festival in Parktown.
