This week, we surveyed flight prices from Durban to Cape Town. Mango once again displayed the cheapest flights on this route at R898 for a one way flight. Please note that prices will change. Shosholoza Meyl's Durban to Cape Town (via Johannesburg) train route is once again up and running at a cost of R470 for an economy class ticket. Be sure to search Car Trawler when you are looking for car rental from Cape Town International Airport, as they showed the best rates for weekend car rental. (All prices may change)
Events in Cape Town
If you find yourself in the Mother City for the weekend of the 24th August, take a trip up the West Coast to witness the first signs of Spring at the Clanwilliam Wild Flower Show or the Flower Power Festival taking place at Shelley Point. The Clanwilliam Wild Flower Show takes place from the 24th - 31st August from 9am - 7pm daily and promises to be jam-packed with activities for all. The Flower Power Festival at Shelley Point runs for two days on the 24th and 25th August at the Shelley Point Hotel, Spa & Country Club.

Car Trawler cheapest vehicle rental
We priced the costs of Cape Town car hire (from the airport) from 21h00 on Friday the 24th August 2012 until 13h00 on Sunday the 26th August 2012. Car Trawler displayed the cheapest rates at R335 for the weekend, including 200 km a day free mileage. Please note that prices may change.
