Franschhoek Literary Fest flights |

Bookworms should make sure they don't miss the Franschhoek Literary Festival which will take place from the 17th to the 19th of May 2013. Various seminars, workshops, concerts and restaurant events will be held over the three day festival. Tickets can be purchased from the Franschhoek Wine Valley & Tourist Association.
Johannesburg to Cape Town prices
Flight and bus prices have gone back to normal since they spiked in the last Johannesburg to Cape Town route survey (which saw flight inflation reaching a high of 79%. This week, the cheapest flight was offered by Mango from OR Tambo Airport (prices may change), and the inflation rate is down to 3% year-on-year. The cheapest land trip was from Shosholoza Meyl whose economy class train was R340 for a one way trip when we checked (prices will change). Car Trawler gave us the most affordable rates for car hire from Cape Town International Airport.

Car Trawler is cheapest in Cape Town
Car Trawler offered the cheapest car hire when we compared the prices of vehicle rental at Cape Town International Airport from 21h00 on Friday the 17th of May 2013 until 13h00 on Sunday the 19th of May 2013. Car Trawler offered the cheapest rates with a Kia Picanto or similar for this period at R340, including 200 km's per day. (Please note prices are subject to change).
