In this week's survey, we compared the prices of flights and bus and train trips on the Cape Town to Johannesburg route for the Freedom Day weekend. We found Mango to have the cheapest flight with their Cape Town to Lanseria evening flight at R933 when we checked (prices will change). The cheapest travel option was with Shosholoza Meyl's economy class train, with the cheapest bus journey offered by SA Roadlink and City to City when we checked. The cheapest car rental from OR Tambo Airport was displayed by Car Trawler. All prices will change.
Events in Johannesburg
Freedom Day will bring Nianell to the Carousel Casino in Pretoria for two nights of concerts. The platinum-selling Afrikaans singer will perform on the 26th and 27th of April 2013 at the Carousel, Cheyenne Saloon starting at 9pm. Tickets are on sale for R50 each.

Car Trawler is cheapest in Johannesburg
Car Trawler offered the most affordable car hire rates at OR Tambo Airport when we checked the prices of car rental in Johannesburg from 21h00 on Friday the 26th of April 2013 until 13h00 on Sunday the 28th of April 2013. A Kia Picanto or similar was R340 for the weekend's rental when we checked. Please note that prices may change.
