In this week's survey, Mango still offered the most reasonable fares, but this time passengers should opt to fly into Lanseria Airport for the cheapest airfare. Bus fares were back to normal after the festive season with Shosholoza Meyl offering the best rates for travel. Car Trawler had the best car rental rates in Johannesburg, offering a Kia Picanto or similar at R340 for a weekend's rental. Please note that all prices may change.
Events in Johannesburg
The annual Lovers Rock Annual Vintage and Classic Car Show will take place on the 5th of February 2013 at the Lovers Rock Family Resort in the Magaliesberg, Gauteng. A display of almost 200 cars will be on show from 8am until 6pm on the day of the event. Entrance will be R60 per person and R30 for children under 12 years old.

Car Trawler offered the best rates when we compared the prices of car hire from OR Tambo International Airport from 21h00 on Friday the 1st of February 2013 until 13h00 on Sunday the 3rd of February 2013. Car Trawler offered a Kia Picanto or similar at R340 for the weekend's rental. Please note that prices may change.
