This week, we surveyed the prices of travel options from Durban to Johannesburg. The cheapest option to fly between these two cities was with Kulula to Lanseria Airport. Shosholoza Meyl's economy class train showed the cheapest overland travel option, with a train ticket costing R130 per person between the two cities. (Prices may change). Car Trawler had the most affordable car hire prices for the weekend's car hire from OR Tambo Airport. Please note that all prices may have changed by the time you read this.

Car Trawler is the cheapest car rental from OR Tambo
Car Trawler came out with the best rental prices when we priced the cost of renting a car from OR Tambo International Airport from 21h00 on Friday the 21st of September 2012 until 13h00 on Sunday the 23rd of September 2012. A Kia Picanto or similar will cost R335 for the weekend's rental (R167.50 per day). Please note that prices may change.
