Once again on this route, Kulula from Lanseria was the cheapest option for flights to Cape Town. Kulula's 8pm flight from Lanseria to Cape Town was R730 at the time this survey was done. (Prices could change). All other airlines' prices were significantly higher than this. Shosholoza Meyl's economy class train from Johannesburg to Cape Town was still the cheapest option for travel between the two cities. Car Trawler's car hire prices for the weekend proved to be the cheapest at the time of this survey. Please note that all prices could change by the time you read this.
Events in Cape Town
The Nando's CT Comedy Festival takes place at the Artscape Opera House in Cape Town from the 2nd to the 9th of September 2012. The festival is the biggest comedy festival on the African continent and will host 7 of the best international and local comedians. Tickets are selling at a price of R180 to R220 per person and can be booked through Computicket.

We priced the cost of renting a car from Cape Town International Airport from 21h00 on Friday the 7th of September 2012 until 13h00 on Sunday the 9th of September 2012.
