School holiday travel is expensive
The 7th of October is the last Friday before the end of school holidays, and it shows in the elevated flight prices - these are the most expensive flight prices since our 12 Nov 2010 flight survey when SAA were cheapest. Velvet Sky's R820 is cheaper than anything below, but unfortuanately just outside the time zone we look at flight prices. Our survey below compares prices of one-way flights, coach trips and train trips from Johannesburg to Cape Town on Friday the 7th of October, leaving Johannesburg after 18h19 but before 20h36.
