The prices for the Friday surveyed are slightly inflated as the June school holidays officially commence countrywide on 25 June this year. Velvet Sky were offering a CPT-JNB one-way flight for R389, but this was outside the survey time (the prices below are of one-way flights, coach trips and train trips from Cape Town to Johannesburg that leave Cape Town between 17h29 and 20h31 on Friday the 24th of June 2011.). Within the survey time, Mango was offering the cheapest flight price due to a 20% sale on the route being available when we checked. The Shosholoza Meyl economy train price remains R260 - the cheapest trip between Cape Town and Johannesburg on the 24th of June. Please note that these prices cannot be guaranteed and that they were only valid at the time of checking them - they are subject to change at any time. The sooner you book, the cheaper the price is likely to be.
