Flights to Riebeeck Olive Festival

The Riebeeck Valley Olive Festival will take place in the quaint Swartland towns of Riebeeck Kasteel and Riebeeck West from Friday the 3rd of May until Sunday the 5th of May 2013. Guests will get the opportunity to taste the olives grown in these towns which have made the Swartland South Africa's primary olive and olive oil producing region. Even tapenades, preserves and olive based beauty products will be offered as testers and on sale in the farmers' market. Festival goers will also get the opportunity to taste the wines from the local wine farms in the Swartland region. Weekend "passports' are on sale for R80 and are valid for the whole weekend's festivites, entry into the wine farms, a complimentary tasting glass, free tastings and entry into the main marquee.

DUR - CPT Prices

The cheapest flight we found from Durban to Cape Town was offered by Mango, at R1 227 for a one way flight (prices will change). The bus prices have decreased slightly since the last survey done on this route, with Shosholoza Meyl still offering the most affordable land trip at R470 for a one way train trip (prices will change). For those wanting to drive themselves to the Olive Festival, be sure to check Car Trawler, who offered the cheapest car rental prices from Cape Town International Airport.

Car Trawler cheapest car hire at Cape Town Airport

This week we looked at the prices of car rental from Cape Town International Airport from 21h00 on Friday the 3rd of May 2013 until 13h00 on Sunday the 5th of May 2013. Car Trawler offered the cheapest rates at R340 for a Kia Picanto or similar for the weekend's rental. Please note that prices may change.
