It's good news for Gautengers wanting to make their way to the coast for the Easter weekend, as we see only a 2% inflation rate from flights during the same period a year ago. Kulula offered the cheapest flight from Johannesburg to Durban when we checked, with their Friday afternoon flight from Lanseria Airport at a price of R639 (prices may change). The cheapest bus trip remained at R180, the same reasonable price we found a year ago. Visitors to Durban should be sure to search Car Trawler for the best rates of car hire offered from King Shaka International Airport. Please note that all prices may change.
Events in Durban
Durban's outdoor music festival, Splashy Fen 2013, takes place over the Easter weekend near Underberg in the Southern Drakensberg Mountains. The festival is South Africa's longest running outdoor music festival and brings thousands of people to the venue each year to enjoy the festivities. Advance tickets are on sale for R575 per person, including camping from Thursday the 28th of March until Monday the 1st of April 2013.

Car Trawler cheapest in Durban
Car Trawler offered the cheapest car rental we found when we compared car rental prices at King Shaka Airport from 21h00 on Friday the 29th of March 2013 until 13h00 on Sunday the 31st of March 2013. A Kia Picanto or similar will cost R340 for the weekend, with 200 kilometres a day included. Please note that prices will change.
