Mango is cheapest to Durban before Christmas |

In this week's survey, we compared the prices of travel from Cape Town to Durban on the Friday before Christmas. Flight prices have increased significantly since the last survey done on this route due to the travel date being in the peak holiday season. Mango offered the most affordable rates to Durban, with their one way flight on Friday afternoon priced at R1 545 per person when we checked (prices will change). Bus prices have shown a steep increase with the cheapest option offered by Citiliner with their Friday morning bus at R475 per person (prices will change). The most affordable car hire we found for the weekend in Durban was a Citroen C1 or similar. Please note that all prices could change.

Citroen C1 is cheapest in Durban
This week we compared the rates of car rental at Durban Airport from 21h00 on Friday the 20th of December 2013 until 13h00 on Sunday the 22nd of December 2013. The cheapest quote we found was R425 for a Citroen C1 or similar for the weekend's rental, offered by Car Trawler. (Prices can change).
