Keen travellers should be sure not to miss the Gauteng Getaway Show which will take place at the Coca Cola Dome in Randburg from the 30th of August until the 1st of September 2013. Visitors can expect to find many ideas for destinations to travel to, great deals for holidays, lots of equipment on sale and loads of prizes up for grabs. Tickets will be on sale at the door for R60 per adult.
Cape Town to Johannesburg travel prices
We surveyed the prices of travel options on the Cape Town to Johannesburg route this week. Mango Airlines came out on top with their R834 one way flight (prices can change). Shosholoza Meyl's train fare was R360 per person for the one way trip when we checked (prices will change). The bus prices have continued to show a 0% inflation rate according to our findings on this route. Car Trawler cheapest car hire at OR Tambo Airport
In this week's survey we compared the prices of car rental in Johannesburg and found Car Trawler to offer the best rates for rental from 21h00 on Friday the 30th of August 2013 until 13h00 on Sunday the 1st of September 2013. A Kia Picanto or similar was R340 for the weekend's rental when we checked. Please note that prices may change.
