In this week's survey, we compared the prices of travel from Cape Town to Durban. Mango offered the cheapest flight when we checked, with a one way flight at R1 193 per person (prices will change). Travellers on a budget can take advantage of Shosholoza Meyl's economy class train fares which were the cheapest option of bus or train prices on this route. Car Trawler came up with the best prices of car hire from King Shaka Airport. Please note that all prices could change.
Events in Durban
Runners in Kwazulu-Natal can look forward to the Arthur Creswell Memorial Marathon which will take place on Saturday the 13th of April 2013. The 52 kilometre distance race will kick off at the Bergville Farmers Hall while the 21.1 kilometre half marathon and the 5 kilometre fun run will start at the Ladysmith Indoor Sports Centre. The race follows a route around the open country surrounding the Drakensberg, which will be a beautiful experience for all involved.

Car Trawler cheapest in Durban
This week we compared the rates of car hire at King Shaka Airport from 21h00 on Friday the 12th April 2013 until 13h00 on Sunday the 14th of April 2013. Car Trawler displayed the cheapest rates for the weekend's rental with a Kia Picanto or similar at R340 (R170 per day). (Prices can change).
