Europcar has opened what it calls the largest car rental location in Europe. Near London Heathrow Airport's terminal 5, it is some 1.4 hectares and services the National Car, Alamo Rent a Car and Guy Salmon Prestige Rental brands (all brands owned by Europcar).

Penny Wilson has finally been repaid the R8450 which Tempest Car Hire owe her (without interest, but they did throw in a Mango Airlines plane ticket and a weekend's car rental). Penny paid the excess of R8450 excess when the car she hired from Tempest was stolen. When Tempest recovered the car, they took two years to repay her.
