Spoil the kids on the last weekend of the school holidays by taking them to the Dino Expo at the East Gate Shopping Centre. At this exhibition the kids will see animatronic, life size dinosaurs complete with realistic noises. The expo will be held from the 24th of June until the 17th of July 2016 and tickets are on sale from R75 per person.

Cape Town to Johannesburg travel

In this week's survey, we compared the prices of travel from Cape Town to Johannesburg. As children make their way home as the school holidays come to an end, the bus prices have increased significantly since the last survey done on this route. The cheapest bus fare was offered by Citiliner at R600 per person. Those travellers looking for the cheapest rates to get from Cape Town to Johannesburg should opt to travel by train in Shosholoza Meyl's economy class coupe at R440 per person. Kia Picanto is cheapest vehicle rental at OR Tambo Airport

This week we compared the prices of car rental at OR Tambo Airport. The cheapest rate we found was offered by Car Trawler when we compared the prices of car hire from 21h00 on Friday the 15th of July until 13h00 on Sunday the 17th of July 2016. Car Trawler offered a Kia Picanto or similar for this period at R452 (Please note prices are subject to change).
