The Ekurhuleni Summer Splash signals the start of summer with a day full of partying under the African sun. Head to the Tsakane Stadium in Brakpan on Saturday the 31st of October 2015 for a full day of DJ's and live performances. Tickets can be purchased from R150.
In this week's survey, we compared the prices of travel from Durban to Johannesburg for the Ekurhuleni Summer Splash. The most affordable mode of transport is by train, with Shosholoza Meyl's economy class train at R150 per person when we checked. If you would like to do the trip by bus, check City to City's prices as they were the cheapest when we checked at R190 per person. For cheap car hire, have a look at Car Trawler, as they offered the best rates for the weekend's rental. Please note that all prices could change.

This week we compared the prices of car hire in Johannesburg. The cheapest rate we found was offered by Car Trawler when we compared the prices of car hire from 21h00 on Friday the 30th of October 2015 until 13h00 on Sunday the 1st of November 2015. Car Trawler offered a Kia Picanto or similar for this period at R374 (Please note that prices are subject to change).
