This week we compared the prices of land travel from Durban to Johannesburg for the Women's Day long weekend. Shosholoza Meyl's train prices were not available at the time this survey was done, as they are undergoing a price increase. City to City offered the best bus fares on this route at R190 per person (prices could change). If you plan to fly to OR Tambo Airport instead and want to rent a car, check Car Trawler's rates as they were the cheapest when we checked. Please note that all prices could change.

Events in Johannesburg

Head to the annual Decorex Joburg taking place at the Gallagher Convention Center in Midrand from the 6th until the 10th of August 2015. Interior design lovers can expect to see a display of all that is hip and happening from furniture, fabrics, lighting, bathrooms, kitchens and outdoor spaces.

Kia Picanto is cheapest vehicle rental at OR Tambo Airport

This week we compared the prices of car hire in Johannesburg. The cheapest rate we found was offered by Car Trawler when we compared the prices of car hire from 21h00 on Friday the 7th of August 2015 until 13h00 on Sunday the 9th of August 2015. Car Trawler offered a Kia Picanto or similar for this period at R441 (Please note that prices are subject to change).
