Cape Town to Johannesburg travel

In this week's survey, we had a look at the prices of travel from Cape Town to Johannesburg for the Mamma Mia show. The prices of land travel have increased by 33% on this route since the same time last year and this is reflected in this week's bus prices. The cheapest option was with Shosholoza Meyl's economy class train at R400 per person for the one way fare (prices could change). The cheapest bus price was with Citiliner at R610 per person when we checked (prices will change). This has increased significantly since the survey done for the same period last year where the cheapest bus trip was R459 per person. If you would like to rent a vehicle from OR Tambo Airport, have a look at Car Trawler's prices as they were the best when we checked.

Kia Picanto is cheapest car rental at OR Tambo Airport

This week we compared the prices of car hire in Johannesburg. The cheapest rate we found was offered by Car Trawler when we compared the prices of car hire from 21h00 on Friday the 10th of April 2015 until 13h00 on Sunday the 12th of April 2015. Car Trawler offered a Kia Picanto or similar for this period at R409 (Please note prices are subject to change).
