In this week's survey of travel prices, we had a look at the Durban to Johannesburg route for travel on Good Friday. The cheapest option we found was R150 per person from Durban to Jozi with Shosholoza Meyl's economy class train fare (prices could change). The cheapest bus trip was offered by City to City at R220 per person for the one way trip (prices could change). If you would like to rent a vehicle in the City of Gold, check Car Trawler's options as they were the most affordable when we checked. Please note that all prices could change.

Head to The Rand Show 2015, taking place from the 3rd until the 12th of April 2015 at the JHB Expo Centre Nasrec. Tickets can be purchased from R50 per person.

Kia Picanto is cheapest car hire in Johannesburg

This week we compared the prices of vehicle rental at Johannesburg Airport. The cheapest rate we found was offered by Car Trawler when we compared the prices of car hire from 21h00 on Friday the 3rd of April 2015 until 13h00 on Sunday the 5th of April 2015. Car Trawler offered a Kia Picanto or similar for this period at R395 (Please note that prices are subject to change).
