This week, we compared the prices of land travel options from Cape Town to Durban for the Valentine's Day weekend. Shosholoza Meyl offered the cheapest price with their economy class train fare at R550 per person (prices could change). Citiliner offered the cheapest bus fare at R570 per person for the one way fare (prices could change). For the best car hire rates, check Car Trawler as they were the cheapest when we checked. Events in Durban

Celebrate Valentine's Day with some comedy at the Izulu Theatre in Durban on Friday the 13th and Saturday the 14th of February 2015. Mark Lottering will be the highlight of the My Funny Valentine show. Tickets can be purchased from R120.

Kia Picanto is cheapest car rental at Durban Airport

This week we compared the prices of car hire at King Shaka Airport. The cheapest rate we found was offered by Car Trawler when we compared the prices of car hire from 21h00 on Friday the 13th of February 2015 until 13h00 on Sunday the 15th of February 2015. Car Trawler offered a Kia Picanto or similar for this period at R384 (Please note that prices are subject to change).
