Sound of Music Flights

The South African production of The Sound of Music will be performed at the Teatro at Montecasino from the 5th of April until the 8th of June 2014. For those travelling to Johannesburg for the weekend of the 2nd of May, be sure not to miss this exceptional stage production of the popular musical. Tickets can be purchased from R125 per person.

Durban to Johannesburg travel

This week, we compared the prices of travel from Durban to Johannesburg on the 2nd of May 2014. With Thursday the 1st of May being a public holiday, we assumed that the prices of flights would have increased significantly since the last survey done on this route as South Africans put in a day's leave on the 2nd of May and head away for the long weekend. However, we were pleasantly surprised with Mango's low fare of R599 per person (prices will change). The cheapest overland option was again offered by Shosholoza Meyl's train fare at R140 per person (prices will change). If you are looking for cheap car hire, be sure to book with Car Trawler, who offered the cheapest rates for the weekend's rental in Johannesburg. Please note that all prices are subject to change.

Kia Picanto is cheapest car rental at Johannesburg Airport

In this week's survey we compared the car rental prices at OR Tambo Airport with pick up and drop off from 21h00 on Friday the 2nd of May 2014 until 13h00 on Sunday the 4th of May 2014. Car Trawler was the cheapest when we checked, offering a Kia Picanto or similar at R385 for the weekend's rental. Please note that prices may change.
