Kulula is cheapest JHB to DUR |

In this week's survey of travel prices from Johannesburg to Durban, Kulula offered the most affordable flight prices on this route. The last survey of ours in which Kulula offered the cheapest flights on the Johannesburg to Durban route was in August 2013. Passengers should opt for travel with Kulula from OR Tambo Airport as opposed to Lanseria Airport as these flights were cheaper when we checked (can change) - this stands in contrast to JHB to CPT flights, where Lanseria is usually cheapest. Train trips proved to be the cheapest travel option with Shosholoza Meyl offering a one way trip to the coast at R140 per person (prices will change).
Events in Durban
The Mondi Half Marathon and 10km road race will take place near Richard's Bay on the 1st of March 2014. The route is fast and flat, allowing runners to do their best times of the distance. Entries will be accepted at Bay Hall on the 28th of February 2014.

Kia Picanto is cheapest at Durban Airport
We compared the prices of car rental in Durban from 21h00 on Friday the 28th of February 2014 until 13h00 on Sunday the 2nd of March 2014. Car Trawler offered the cheapest option that we found with a Kia Picanto or similar offered at R353 for the weekend, with 200 kilometres a day included. Please note that prices will change.
