In this week's survey, we compared the prices of flights from Johannesburg to Cape Town on Women's Day the 9th of August 2013. We found Kulula Airlines to have the cheapest flight offered on the public holiday with their 8pm flight at R1 015 per person for a one way flight when we checked (prices may change). The cheapest overland option for travel for the long weekend was with Shosholoza Meyl's economy class train service. Visitors to Cape Town can be assured that the cheapest car hire price was offered by Car Trawler for their Citroen C1 or similar.
Events in Cape Town
The Hermanus Wine and Food Fair will be held over the Women's Day long weekend at the Hemel en Aarde Village in Hermanus. Festival goers will get the opportunity to taste wines from over 50 wineries local to the Overberg region as well as sample the region's cheese and olives. This fair has been nominated as one of the 10 best wine festivals in South Africa so it is definitely not to be missed.

Car Trawler cheapest car rental in Cape Town
The cheapest car hire we found at Cape Town Airport was offered by Car Trawler when we compared the prices from 21h00 on Friday the 9th of August 2013 until 13h00 on Sunday the 11th of August 2013. Car Trawler offered the cheapest rates with a Citroen C1 or similar for this period at R328, including 100 km's per day. (Please note prices are subject to change).
