In this week's survey we looked at the flight prices for 2013 for the last time with a comparison of travel prices from Durban to Johannesburg departing on the 27th of December 2013. As the majority of people make their way to the coast for the holidays, the flight prices to Johannesburg have not shown an increase as is normally seen on other routes during the festive season. The cheapest flight we found was Kulula's Friday evening flight to OR Tambo Airport at R794 per person for a one way flight (the price may change). The cheapest bus trip was R210 per person per way with City to City's coach (prices will change). If you would like to have the freedom of driving yourself around Johannesburg during your stay, you can rent a Kia Picanto or similar at R385 for the weekend. Please note that all prices could change.
Events in Johannesburg
Spoil the kids with an evening watching Sleeping Beauty on Ice at the Teatro at Montecasino. Various show times are available every day until the 12th of January 2014. Tickets can be purchased for R150 to R400 per person.

Kia Picanto is cheapest in Johannesburg
In this week's survey we compared the car hire prices at OR Tambo Airport with pick up and drop off from 21h00 on Friday the 27th of December 2013 until 13h00 on Sunday the 29th of December 2013. Car Trawler was the cheapest when we checked, offering a Kia Picanto or similar at R385 for the weekend's rental. Please note that prices may change.
