Consistent with the last survey done on the Cape Town to Durban route, 1Time offered the most attractive airfare at R999 for a one way flight (prices may change). Shosholoza Meyl's economy class train fares were still the cheapest, but passengers must travel via Johannesburg on their way to Durban. Make sure to check Car Trawler's rates for car hire in Durban as they once again offered the best rates at King Shaka Airport.

Car Hire in Durban

We investigated the prices of renting a car at King Shaka International Airport from 21h00 on Friday the 26th of October 2012 until 13h00 on Sunday the 28th of October 2012. Car Trawler offered the cheapest rates for the weekend's rental with a Kia Picanto or similar at R335 (R167.50 per day). (Prices can change).
