In this week's comparison of travel prices from Durban to Cape Town, Intercape and Shosholoza Meyl offered the cheapest rates at R610 per person. As the train trip goes via Johannesburg, the bus trip with Intercape would be the more convenient option. Visitors to Cape Town who are art lovers should not miss the Hermanus Fynarts festival taking place from the 10th until the 19th of June 2016. The festival will include over 20 art exhibitions, music recitals, drawing and ceramics workshops and loads more.

This week we surveyed the prices of car hire from Cape Town Airport with pick up at 21h00 on Friday the 10th of June 2016 and drop off at 13h00 on Sunday the 12th of June 2016. The cheapest option we found was R432 for a Kia Picanto or similar for the weekend's rental. Please note that prices may change.
