Durban to Cape Town travel

In this week's survey, we compared the prices of travel from Durban to Cape Town for the Hermanus Whale Festival. The cheapest mode of transport was by train, with Shosholoza Meyl's economy class fare at R590 per person when we checked (prices could change). If the train journey via Johannesburg is too time consuming for you, travel by bus with Citiliner who offered the cheapest bus fare at R615 when we checked (prices could change). Kia Picanto is cheapest car rental in Cape Town

This week we surveyed the prices of car hire at Cape Town International Airport with pick up at 21h00 on Friday the 2nd of October 2015 and drop off at 13h00 on Sunday the 4th of October 2015. The cheapest option we found was R386 for a Kia Picanto or similar for the weekend's rental. Please note that prices may change.
