Celebrate all things French at the annual Franschhoek Bastille Festival from the 11th until the 12th of July 2015. The quaint town will celebrate its French Huguenot heritage with delicious food and wine, galleries, boutiques, french films and a barrel rolling contest.

DUR to CPT travel prices

In this week's comparison of travel prices we had a look at the Durban to Cape Town route for the Franschhoek Bastille Festival. The cheapest way to travel was by train when we checked - in Shosholoza Meyl's economy class coach at R550 per person (prices could change). For those who prefer to travel by bus, Citiliner offered the cheapest bus fare at R590 per person when we checked (prices could change). If you would like to rent a car in Cape Town, a Kia Picanto from Car Trawler was the cheapest when we checked. Please note that all prices could change.

Kia Picanto is cheapest vehicle rental in Cape Town

This week we surveyed the prices of car hire at Cape Town International Airport with pick up at 21h00 on Friday the 10th of July 2015 and drop off at 13h00 on Sunday the 12th of July 2015. The cheapest option we found was R386 for a Kia Picanto or similar for the weekend's rental. Please note that prices may change.
