DUR to CPT Shosholoza is cheapest

In this week's survey we compared the prices of bus and train travel from Durban to Cape Town. The cheapest option that we found was offered by Shosholoza Meyl's economy class train fare at R550 per person per way (prices will change). The best rates we found for bus travel between these two cities was offered by Citiliner (prices could change). For those who would like the freedom of having their own transport while in the Mother City, check the car hire prices offered by Car Trawler as they were the cheapest when we checked.

Events in Cape Town

Visit Shimmy Beach Club on the 23rd of January 2015 for the Shimmy Anthems party which will feature top local and international DJ's. Doors open at 5pm and tickets are on sale from R100 per person.

Kia Picanto is cheapest car rental in Cape Town

This week we surveyed the prices of car hire at Cape Town Airport with pick up at 21h00 on Friday the 23rd of January 2015 and drop off at 13h00 on Sunday the 25th of January 2015. The cheapest option we found was R374 for a Kia Picanto or similar for the weekend's rental. Please note that prices may change.
