Travel to Cape Bonsai Show

Head to Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens to view the annual Cape Bonsai Kai Show in the Sanlam Hall. Entry is free if you have purchased your tickets to enter the gardens, so why not make a day of it with a walk and a picnic amongst the flora. Visitors to the show can expect to see over 100 spectacular examples of the art of bonsai, including some made from plants indigenous to South Africa.

Durban to Cape Town Travel

In this weeks's survey, we had a look at the prices of travel by land from Durban to Cape Town for the annual bonsai show. The cheapest travel option was with Shosholoza Meyl's economy class train fare at R550 per person for the one way trip (prices could change). The most affordable bus trip was offered by Intercape at R750 for the one way trip (prices may change). Chevrolet Cruze is cheapest car hire at Cape Town Airport

This week we surveyed the prices of car rental in Cape Town with pick up at 21h00 on Friday the 12th of December 2014 and drop off at 13h00 on Sunday the 14th of December 2014. The cheapest option we found was R866 for a Chevrolet Cruze or similar for the weekend's rental. Please note that prices may change.
