Touring in Grand style with Tours du Cap

9 October 2013. Two years ago I fell in love with it but it was too expensive, even the used one I test drove, so I forgot about it. Well, I was supposed to forget it; it was out of reach, but not out of mind. Then, last month, another one popped up at a showroom nearby and this time it was affordable. Another test drive, another round of questions and double checking everything and the deal was done.

We own a Chrysler Grand Voyager, Limited Edition - the car we fell in love with and thought was out of our reach.
Top Gear couldn’t fault it but they did mention the high fuel consumption. In today’s high fuel costs it may seem crazy but we think it’s worth it because it is versatile and luxurious, like us.

Our clients have already given excellent feedback. They appreciate the spaciousness and comfort, they’re impressed with the automatic doors, they love the smoothness of the drive, and having use of the free wifi that we installed is a big bonus. Together with the tablets for the use of clients who don’t have their own device. (Believe it or not, there are still holiday-makers who leave electronic gadgets at home, only to wistfully sigh they wish they could post a pic of this lovely scenery to so-and-so at home or in the office!)

The second and third row of seats can fold right down into the floor which makes for great versatility – a baby’s bed can be placed comfortably, extra luggage space is created, and we could even sleep in it!

It’s taking me a while to work out and remember all the electronic gadgets but I’m thrilled that my colleague and I can each have our own memorised seat settings at the flip of a switch. An extensive air-con system with individualised settings provides welcome respite from our summer heat.

It’s a pleasure to drive and we’re very proud to show it off, complete with company branding, at such high-visibility places as the Cape Point Nature Reserve on our very popular Cape Peninsula Tour, and look forward to a summer of happy Grand clients!
