Airlink (previously known as SA Airlink) used to be the only airline operating flights from George to Cape Town, until SA Express joined it on the route in 2013. Now that SA Express has gone bust, they have a monopoly again. To book cheap flights try to be flexible with your dates, and keep open the possibility of driving the route (it's only 4 hours by car). Use the flight bookings tool on the left to book a flight to with Airlink (4Z).
NEWS: 18 March 2014 : From the 2nd June 2014 Airlink is adding a 4th daily flight from Monday to Friday on the GRJ-CPT route. The new flight is SA8632, which is scheduled to leave George at 13h00 and land in Cape Town at 13h50. SA8638 has been shifted from leaving at 14h45 to leaving at 15h25. Given that SA Express started flying the route, it must have a lot of capacity on it now.
Airlink flights are scheduled to take 50 minutes to fly the 349km from George Airport to Cape Town International Airport. Airlink flights to Cape Town from GRJ use Embraer ERJ-135 planes. Here are the flight codes and scheduled departure times:
Mondays to Fridays : SA8622 (08h30), SA8632 (13h00), SA8638 (14h45) & SA8636 (18h10)
Saturdays : SA8630 (10h45) & SA8638 (14h45)
Sundays : SA8642 (15h40) & A8636 (18h10)
The 08h30 departure is perfect for the business traveller wanting to spend the day in Cape Town.
