Airlink launches Cape Town-Maun (Botswana) Flights

5 October 2015: Airlink has announced that they will start flying between Cape Town and Maun in Botswana from the 11th of March 2016. The 5 weekly return flights will take off from Cape Town at 10h35 and arrive in Maun at 13h05. The return flights from Maun will depart at 13h35 and arrive back in Cape Town at 16h10.

Airlink launches Pretoria - Cape Town Flights

26 May 2015: Airlink has announced that they will start flying between Cape Town and Pretoria (Wonderboom Airport) from the 16th of August 2015. There will be three daily flights between the two cities. Flights from Wonderboom will depart at 06:45 and 09:45 in the morning respectively. The third and final daily flight will depart in the afternoon at 17:45. Flights from Cape Town will depart at 06:45 with afternoon flights departing at 15:00 and 17:30. Nico Bezuidenhout, SAA Acting Chief Executive Officer, said; “Connecting the two historically significant South African  cities, Pretoria, the capital city, with Cape Town, the mother city, is an exciting development on our domestic route network, which we believe will be popular with both leisure and business travellers.” This new service will help travellers from Pretoria cut down on their travel time, because they no longer have to go all the way to OR Tambo International if they want to fly down to Cape Town.

• Pretoria (Wonderboom) to Cape Town (PRY-CPT) flights will be flown in Avro RJ85 quad jets (as seen in the picture above).

• George to Cape Town(GRJ-CPT) flights are flown in Embraer ERJ-135 (ER3) jets, which have a single seat on the left of the aisle, and 2 seats on the right.

• Kimberley to Cape Town (KIM-CPT) flights are flown in Embraer ERJ-135 jets.

• Nelspruit to Cape Town (MQP-CPT)flights are flown in Avro RJ85 Avroliner (AR8) jets, and take 2 hours and 40 minutes. This is the longest flight route Airlink flies to Cape Town.

• Upington to Cape Town (UTN-CPT) flights are flown in Embraer ERJ-135 jets, and are scheduled to take 80 minutes.

• Skukuza to Cape Town (SZK-CPT) flights are flown in Embraer ERJ-135 jets, and are scheduled to take 2 hours and 35 minutes.
