SAA cheapest to Cape Town |
10 Dec 2010 flights |
School holidays start on the 10th December, and look at the price spike this has caused in airline tickets. SAA's R1253 is the cheapest one-way flight price from Johannesburg to Cape Town, leaving Johannesburg between 1819 & 2036 on Friday the 10th December 2010. Prices will change (perhaps even by the time you read this). Perhaps worthwhile to rather take the Shosholoza Meyl train, from R300. This is the first time SAA has been cheapest in the Johannesburg to Cape Town survey (we've been surveying the route since 21 April 2007).

Mr Martins travels to Cape Town tells us his South Africa arrival stories. He got to see quite a bit and different things to the usual tourist, as his mission in coming was "to collaborate with business/entrepreneurial focused scholarship students from a local university, and work within teams to help a pool of about 20 Cape Town area entrepreneurs". He took a load of photos, and his blog is well worth a visit. Here's a photo of a Rolls Royce Phantom in Cape Town - "Expensive cars are in publicly accessible outdoor/parking garage showrooms in South Africa. Wouldn’t.happen.in.the.States."
