The top of Lion's Head is a favourite spot for sunset photos; this one was a January picture, with the sun setting further south than most of the year:
This is a climber's route, although the climbing is not difficult, but there are sections with exposure to large falls; a further complication is that the trail being is gravelly and somewhat loose underfoot.
One leaves the standard spiral route up Lion's Head on the northern end (facing the Kramat), heading up passing left of the paragrliders' weather station towards the first rock step.

After scrambling up the Fresnaye Crack keep close to the rock face as you traverse (left) clockwise around the corner which will allow you to see Table Mountain as you round it; exercise care as the ledge is thin and the views are spectacular:
