Jeffreys Bay is the classic surfer holiday resort town in South Africa, known for its perfect waves. It is situated just off the N2 national road in between Plettenberg Bay and Port Elizabeth. To get there fly to Port Elizabeth, hire a car and it's a 90km drive south-west, which should take you about an hour.
Esme Potgieter was kind enough to send us some of her beautiful photos: "We moved to Jeffreysbay in November 2013 from Springs. Obviously our family are all still in Gauteng. We just love showing them the beautiful Jeffreysbay." Here's the bridge to the Ferry Hotel.
