Sandton hotels
Here's a list of hotels, guest houses and luxury accommodation in Sandton (a wealthy part of Johannesburg). You may want to try Ashdown House in Bryanston. It is off the main roads so you'll need to hire a car (but you'd need one most places in Johannesburg), but centrally located. It has a lush green garden and a swimming pool. It's worth paying a bit more to stay in a larger room overlooking the pool. Make use of the TV lounge.
We recommend staying at the Oasis Luxury Guest House. Enjoy the peaceful garden and the swimming pool. If you are a family, ask for 2 connected rooms. |

"Our hotel is going to be Sandton's first real corporate hotel specifically designed with the traveller in mind. With the transient traveller who comes into Johannesburg for 2 or 3 days and then out back on their international flights. The facilities in the hotel are specifically designed around the corporate traveller - free wifi, the rooms are beautifully designed, very neutral spaces where you can be who you want to be.
