7 May 2013. I had my 2nd Cruise experience on board the amazing MSC Opera in January 2013, on a cruise from Durban harbour. This time round I took my children, aged 21 and 17 years. The look on their faces when they saw that "Italian beauty" docked at the port - I thought to myself whilst standing in line to board, "if only they knew the awesome display of luxury inside".
We were the first to board and quickly took our bags to our cabin and started the sight seeing before the rest of the passengers got on board. My daughter was "wowed" by the size of the ship and even admitted she thought I had been exaggerating. Never in their wildest dreams did they expect to see such splendour. Needless to say I had to look for them every few hours to make sure they were okay, they were just all over the ship. Sometimes I saw them at the pool or in the jacuzzi. At night they were in their own buzz joining in the festivities of dance, shows and just about anything.
We didn't spend much onboard as all meals were just amazing. I think we started feeling all bloated by the amount of food consumed.
I have grown addicted to cruising and already looking at what my next route would be. The staff, service and everything about MSC is of such a calibre that no one wanted to leave. The pics I attach says it all.
Cannot wait for my "Italian stallions" to arrive back in South Africa for the next cruising season, its going to be whoopiness again.

Once you've tried MSC in South Africa the next step is to book an MSC Mediterranean cruise - you can even do this on the MSC Opera if you so choose :)
