Thrifty Car Rental rebranded itself to Sani Car Rental in January 2024: "Our commitment to providing exceptional service and value to our customers remains unwavering, and this rebranding is a step towards enhancing our online presence and user experience." Sani is a 100 percent female owned car rental agency. Springs Car Wholesalers (Pty) Ltd, the legal entity, purchased the use of the Sani franchises for Namibia and South Africa. Note that Sani Car Rental is unrelated to the Sani Resort on Greece's Aegean Sea.
