An overland trip from Lanseria Airport (Avis) to Durban King Shaka International Airport (Avis) is 633km along the N3, taking some 6 hours. Along the way one passes Harrismith, Estcourt, Pietermaritzburg, Pinetown and Durban.
17 August 2015. Mango Airlines finally announced that they will start operating Lanseria to Durban flights from the 15th of October 2015! THey will operate 2 daily return flights.
2 June 2012. After a short experiment with the route, 1time Airline quits flying from Lanseria to Durban (shortly afterwards it would go into provisional liquidation).
28 October 2008. Kulula increases its frequency of Lanseria to Durban flights to twice daily, excluding Saturdays.
