If you need a car for 30 days or more, Europcar offers reduced daily rates for your long term rental. This service is designed to offer customers a good alternative to buying and maintaining their own vehicles. Any one of Europcar's
16 000 vehicles in different categories, are available to rent long term, and customers can request any of the additional features such as GPS, child seats, tracking devices and tow bars. Each rental comes standard with 3000 kilometres included per month.

Drive South Africa

Drive South Africa considers long term rental as car rental for a period exceeding 28 days. Customers who book cars for this length of time, qualify for discounted monthly rates. A large range of categories of vehicles are available to hire, including cheap car hire, executive and luxury cars, specialised cars to carry wheelchairs as well as 4x4's, camper vans, motorhomes and RV's.

Budget Car Rental

Budget Car Rental does not rent cars for a period of longer than 30 days.

Hertz

Hertz will only rent cars for a period of up to 1 month.

Avis

Avis Mini Lease allows customers to accessorise "their' car to their own requirements, by adding extras such as GPS and a towbar. 3000 Kilometres per month are included in your rental fare. Delivery of your vehicle will be provided and three additional drivers can be added free of charge. The vehicle can be returned after 3 months with no penalties. Avis will provide a free loan vehicle during the time your car is being serviced or repaired.

Sani Car Rental

Sani was previously called Thrifty. Sani rents cars long term, but rental will need to be renewed every month, as cars can only be booked for a maximum of 30 days at a time. The daily rate to rent the car over a month is reduced compared to the normal daily rate charged. 200kms are included per day.

 

Kilokor Car Rentals

Kilokor Car Rentals was established to provide a service that is an alternative to regular vehicle finance. They specialise in providing long term car rentals to people who are unable to qualify for normal vehicle finance due to blacklisting, low credit bank rating, balloon payments or as a result of having no credit record as a first time buyer.

If you opt to rent with Kilokor, you will have full use of a new or second-hand vehicle for a rental period of 48 months (4 years). The rental includes 48 months mechanical breakdown warranty as well as a contribution of R800 towards each 10 000km service for the duration of the rental. Insurance is included, where customers will get free roadside assistance, a tracking system as well as free car hire in case of an accident.

To qualify for a personal long term rental with Kilokor you will need:

  • to pay a deposit

  • a valid driver's licence

  • a valid ID

  • last 3 months' pay slips

  • last 3 months' bank statements

  • proof of residence

  • completed downloaded application form.
